Open your Internet browser and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar, then press Enter.

NOTE: If you typed the URL into the address bar and the setup page does not load, try using another Internet browser. Also, assure that the modem is connected directly to the computer and not through a router.

On the log in screen, you are prompted to do one of the following:

• If you have the password, enter it, click Login, and proceed to Step 4.
• If you do not have or never added a new password, you must delete the pre-populated characters and manually enter the default password 1234, and click Login, then proceed to Step 3. If you do not remove the pre-populated characters first, the modem will give you read only access. If you have forgotten your password, reset the modem using the reset button located on the back of the device.
  
  
  

On the next screen, you will do one of the following:

• If you wish to enter a new password, enter and confirm the new password and then click Apply.
  You are redirected to the login page in step two to use the new password.
• If you wish to keep the default password click Ignore.
  
  
  

On the menu below, choose Go To Advanced Setup and click Apply.

You are taken to the modem main menu page as shown below:




Important: If you did not delete the pre-entered content as stated in Step 2 and manually entered 1234 before clicking Login, you will not have any menu options as shown below. You will need to Exit the modem page and follow these instructions again.
