Web Menu/Button

Click the More down arrow to see the following menu of Web-related options and settings.

Home
A home page is simply the default Web page that loads automatically when you connect to the Internet and open your Web browser. To open your home page, click Home. You can also click the Web menu button on your Task Panel to open your home page in a browser window.

Favorites
A favorite is a Web site you visit often and want TotalAccess to remember so you don't have to type in the address each time you want to visit the site.

To access a favorite site:

1. Click Favorites and any favorites you have stored will be displayed.
2. Click the preferred site, and it will open your browser.

To change your favorites:

1. Click Favorites, then Edit Favorites. The Edit Favorites Web page will open. Follow the on-screen instructions.
2. Once you have made changes, click Favorites, then Refresh Favorites to see the changes.

News Ticker
The news ticker runs headlines across the top of your screen and can be customized to display the news you want.

To show or hide the news ticker on your screen:

1. Click News Ticker.
2. If the ticker is currently displayed, select Hide News Ticker to turn it off.
3. If the ticker is currently not displayed, select Show News Ticker to turn it on.

You can easily change the ticker options. Select News Ticker, then News Ticker Options. The News Ticker Options window will be displayed. You must click Apply or OK at the bottom of the window before any changes take effect.

To change the headline categories:

1. In the Show in Ticker section, click the Edit button and the News and the News Categories window will be displayed.
2. Place a check next to the categories to display in the ticker, and click OK to close the window.

You can also change the color or the ticker bar (Background), news headlines as they scroll (News), or news headlines when they are selected (Highlighted).

To change colors:

1. Click the color button next to the preferred feature and the Color window will be displayed.
2. Select the preferred color, and click OK to close the window.

To change the ticker speed:

1. In the Display Options section, slide the scroll bar to the left or right to adjust the speed of the headlines.

To change the headline font:

1. In the Display Options section, select the preferred Font or font Size from the corresponding drop-down list.

Click the Default Settings button to restore the TotalAccess ticker settings. Click OK to close the News Ticker Options window and save any changes. Click Cancel to close the window without saving any changes.

EarthLink Start Page

Each EarthLink email address comes with a Personal Start Page (PSP) which you can customize to include the content you want including news, stocks, weather, and more. Click EarthLink Start Page to open your PSP.

EarthLink Channels

In addition to your Personal Start Page, EarthLink also has several pages, or channels, of information which may be of interest to you. Simply click the channel name to open it in your browser. The available channels are listed below:

Sports
Entertainment
Health
Travel
Careers
Personals
eBay**

*The news categories displayed correspond with the headline categories selected for the news ticker.

**The eBay channel has options to help you set up, use, and manage your eBay account. Select the preferred option to open the corresponding Web page:

eLink Newsletter

EarthLink publishes a bi-weekly online newsletter, eLink, which contains tech tips, fun downloads, and interesting places to visit on the Web. Click eLink Newsletter to open the latest issue.

Web Options

You can easily change the way certain Web options display in TotalAccess. Click Web Options, and the Options window will be displayed with the Web category selected.

Once you make any changes, click Apply to immediately apply the new settings or OK to apply the new settings and close the Options window. Click Cancel to close the window without applying any changes.

Set Your Internet Explorer Home Page
To change you home page, you have four options:

1. Enter the full address of the page in the Address text box.
2. Click the Use Current button to set the open Web page as the home page.
3. Click the Use Default button to set your EarthLink Personal Start Pate, TotalAccess default, as the home page.
4. Click the Use Blank button to set a blank page as the home page.

Options
In the Options section, place a check next to each desired option:

Launch browser after signing in - Your Web browser will open each time you sign in to TotalAccess.

Use EarthLink Search Service (provided by Google) - The search service will be enabled.

Display News Ticker - The News Ticker will be displayed.

Click the News Ticker Options button to open the News Ticker Options window.

Show These EarthLink Channels in the Web Menu
Place a check next to the channels you want displayed on the Web menu. The available channels are News, Finance, Sports, Entertainment, Health, Travel, Careers, Personals, and eBay.
