Connecting the Linksys PLEBR10 PowerLine Adapter to Your Network
1

Connect an ethernet cable from the network card (NIC) in your computer to the ethernet port on the Linksys PLEBR10. Connect the power adapter to an available power jack.

2

You will now configure the adapter for your network. Please see KB Article 3833 for help with this procedure, and then continue below.

3

Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each adapter that you will be using on your network. Keep in mind that the same Network Password must be used on each device.

4

Connect the ethernet port of one of the Linksys PowerLine adapters to one of the LAN ports on your router. Make sure the power cable is also connected and plugged into a power jack. This device will take the network signal from the router and send it to other power jacks within the home.

5

Move to the site of the remote computer that will connect via powerline. Connect an Ethernet cable from the computers network card into the Ethernet port on a second Linksys PLEBR10 adapter. Make sure the power cable is also connected and plugged into a power jack.

6

You should now be able to connect and surf the Internet. If not, reboot the remote computer. If you still cannot connect, make sure the computer is configured for DHCP (see KB Article 4725 for help with this step).
