This article describes how to manually add an access number in the EarthLink Access Software v 8.0.
| Procedure |
There is an option in the Connection Manager interface to manually add an access number that does not appear. Typically, an agent should not have to use it but there are cases where the phonebook doesn’t update on the customer’s computer.
If there is a situation where there is no local access number in the EarthLink Connection Manager:
- Click on the Access Numbers link at the left and then select Modify Numbers:

-
Click on Next in the following 2 screens:

-
Click on “click here” on the right hand side:

- Click on the top (or only) phone number showing in the screen below:

- Have the customer type in the access number from the PMD exactly as they need to dial it, no dashes or spaces. Remember to inform the customer of the LDD. Then click OK.

- The manually inputted number will not show up. Click Next.

-
Make sure the customer puts a check at the Usage agreement and clicks Finish.
