This article will show you how to create a new "secondary" email address for your EarthLink account.  

 

How to Create a New Email Address in MyAccount

Log into My Account with your primary email address and password.

On the My Account home page (the first page that comes up after you log in), you will see a section called Email Profiles.  Next to this, you will see a line commenting on how many email addresses you have available and how many you are actually using.  As long as you have at least one left you will be able to create a new email address.  




In the above example, 8 email addresses are included with the account and 7 are being used.  One more can be created.

Click Add a new email profile located below the Email Profiles section.

Fill out the form to create your new email address.

Guidelines you should keep in mind when creating your new email address:

  • Capitalization matters (make sure CAPS LOCK is turned off).
  • The username portion of your email address is limited to 32 characters
    • usernameportion@earthlink.net
  • Your password must be between 6 and 8 characters.
  • It can contain letters and numbers but no symbols.

Click Add Email Profile when you have filled out all of the required information.

If the email address you selected is not available, you will have to go back through the process of selecting a new email address.

If the email address you selected is available, simply click OK to add it to your account.

Note: The max allowed length of a username for the primary e-mail address ONLY is up to 16 characters.
