How to Telnet Initial Bridged Configuration
  1. Click Start and choose Run.






  2. Type in cmd or command, and select OK.






  3. Type telnet 192.168.1.1 and click Enter.





  4. Type the default password 1234.





    Note:If the user has changed his or her password, type the new password. If the user is unsure of his or her password, reset the modem. To reset, hold the reset button (pin hole) on the back of the modem with a paper clip or ball point pen until all the lights shut off, then release the button. The default password is now 1234.



  5. Type1 for General Setup, and press Enter.







  6. In the System Name, replace "?" with 0. Press Enter to the Route IP section and using the space bar toggle it to No. Press Enter to the Bridge section and toggle to Yes.






  7. Press Enter until you see Saving to ROM. Please wait. This will occur when you get to the "Press Enter to Confirm or ESC to Cancel;" section selecting Enter a final time to save the settings and return to the main menu.






  8. On the main screen, Type 99 and press Enter to exit. You will get a response, Connection to host lost. Close the window and verify that the Internet light on the modem is off indicating Bridged configuration has successfully been made. If unsuccessful, reset modem and try again verifying settings pictured above for each item.
