| 1 | You may need to set your DSL modem to bridge mode before you connect your Linksys router. See KB article 39788 for instructions. |
| 2 | Connect your Linksys router to your DSL modem and computer. For an illustration on how to do so, see Article 32426. |
| 3 | Type the router's IP address in your browser address bar and press Enter. The default IP is 192.168.15.1. |
| 4 | You will receive a login prompt. Type in the current password for the router. If it is still in default configuration, you will type "admin" in the Username and Password field to gain entry.

| 5 | The first screen you should see is the Basic Setup page. Choose PPPoE from the Internet Connection Type drop-down menu. |

| 7 | All other settings will remain the same. Click the Save Settings button. |
| 8 | The router will now save these settings and connect to the Internet. If the connection was completed successfully you should now be able to browse the Internet. If not, perform a power cycle discussed in Solving DSL Connection Problems. |
