How To Remove Messages From the Voicemail Box

Note: Before you begin, if you want to save your voicemail messages to your computer before you delete them from the voicemail system, see KB article 28437 for instructions.


There are two ways to delete voicemail messages. Click on one below to see the procedure, or scroll down to view all of them.

 Deleting Voicemail from a Telephone

1. Pick up any phone and dial your local voicemail access phone number (if you are on your home phone, dial *98).
   
   Important: If you don't know a local access number, you can look one up on the Voicemail Access Numbers page.
   
   
   
2. Enter your PIN. See KB article 29525 if you don't know your PIN and need to reset it.
   
   
   
3. Press 1 to review new messages. Each new message will play.
   
   
   
4. Press 7 to delete the message after the message has been played.

1. Sign in to myVoice.
   
2. Click the Voicemail link on the left side of the myVoice home page.
   
   
   
   
3. The Voicemail screen will appear. Check the check box next to the message you want to delete.
   
   
4. Click the Delete button. The message will be deleted.
