| 1 | Shut down and turn off your computer. |
| 2 | Insert one end of the yellow Ethernet cable found in your Modem Kit into your computer’s Ethernet port, and the other end into the modem’s yellow Ethernet port. |
| 3 | Please insert the dual-jack filter into the wall jack nearest your computer now. NOTE: The dual-jack filter is only required if the wall jack you are using will also be the source for your telephone. |
| 4 | Insert one end of the gray phone cord - found in your Modem Kit - into the gray side of the dual-jack DSL filter, and the other end into the modem’s gray DSL port. |
| 5 | Connect the power supply to your surge protector (we strongly encourage) or outlet and modem's power port. |
| 6 | Turn on the modem. |
