Connecting your Computer and High Speed Modem to a Linksys Wireless Router

  1. Locate the Ethernet connection on your computer.



         Back or Side of a Typical Laptop


     

  2. Locate the Ethernet Connection on your Broadband Modem.

 

 3. Connect an Ethernet cable from your Broadband Modem to the Internet port on your Router.

 4. Connect an Ethernet cord from your Router to your Computer.

NOTE: Ethernet cables can be plugged in while the device is powered on.

           Linksys E1000 or E1200 Router

 

  

NOTE: When an active Ethernet connection is present, one of the four Ethernet lights on the front of the router will be lit.
